Applications are open for the 42nd Vladimir Herzog Journalistic Award for Amnesty and Human Rights 2020. Since its first edition, awarded in 1979, the PVH recognizes journalists, photographic reporters and artists of the line who, through their daily work, collaborate with the promotion of Democracy, Citizenship and Human Rights.

Its purpose is to honor personalities and communication professionals who stand out in the promotion of these fundamental rights, as well as celebrate the life and work of journalist Vladimir Herzog, arrested by the civil-military dictatorship, tortured and murdered on October 25, 1975 in Detachment facilities.
